It's November, which means one thing: Christmas is coming! Ok, ok, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here. November is the time to focus on the things that we are thankful for. While it would be ideal to enjoy a bit of gratitude each and every day of the year, that's unfortunately a very lofty goal. We get busy. We get preoccupied. And worse, we get distracted from all of our blessings by life's challenges and disappointments.
I'm trying to get better at recognizing the good in life and quieting the not-so-good. This is not always easy. I'm not going to mislead you - some days are simply not happy days. And that's ok. That's life. It's messy and busy and imperfect, but it's also full of goodness. Allow me to share some of my sunshine with you :)
Things To Be Thankful For
I'm thankful for Danger.
I'm thankful for this dude (my husband, André).
I'm thankful for weekends!
I'm thankful for grandparents. (These two are so helpful! And cute!)
November 1st - 4th has been covered above. I'm challenging myself to choose at least one thing per day that I am thankful for, although I'm starting to see that I have so much more than that to be thankful for.
And now, I challenge YOU to find at least one thing each day that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. Who knows? It might just be the boost you need to make it through one of those not-great days!
