August 6th is the first day of school for many children in the state of Georgia. It seems that every year, the date is pushed up, effectively ending summer break in the height of summer. While this is not necessarily a good or bad thing, it does make back-to-school shopping a little tighter for parents on a budget. This weekend (August 9-10) is tax-free weekend in the state of Georgia, making it the perfect time to stock up on school and office supplies. School may have already started for some children, but that doesn't mean that parents have to miss out on the savings, especially if you know where to look for the best deals.
