It's Never Too Soon To Start Planning A Trip To Disney World!

I like to plan. In fact, I will cheerfully admit that I spend about 80 percent of my time planning for something. Much of my life is planned and on a schedule, and I like it that way. Last Tuesday, I received an email that had me in tears. I was invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration! This is something that I have been dreaming about for quite a while, yet I never planned on receiving an invitation to this amazing event. Notice what I said there? I didn't plan on being invited. ;)

Because I was not going to get my hopes up this year, I decided to use our time in Kissimmee (while I was blogging on behalf of the Kissimmee Convention & Visitor's Bureau) to take my family to experience Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom for the very first time. We had the most amazing family vacation, and left with so many wonderful memories that my daughter and I discuss daily.disney-memories

I like to be prepared, so much so that I have been reading over as many blog posts from last year's event that I could find in preparation for this year's festivities. I know it will be magical. It's Disney, after all. While I am not capable of the talent that it takes to organize and pull together this event, I can plan on a few things:

I plan to be inspired.

Speakers this year include Jackie HubaDayna SteeleShannon Miller, and Marc Mero, and the conference is hosted by Renee Syler. Such an amazing group of speakers! I was especially inspired by Shannon Miller at the Disney On The Road conference in Charlotte, NC, and cannot wait to hear more from her and the others at the #DisneySMMoms event!

I plan to learn from the best.

The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration is known for having a dynamic and unique grouping of individuals that share advice about the complete package: branding, parenting, work-life balance, and getting social! I will share their ideas with you during and after the conference, because the best part of learning new things is having the ability to share with others. Andrea's 2012 Disney experience provided me with an excellent "what to expect" type post for the conference.

I plan to form lasting relationships.

While I know of a few local women that will be attending (Krystyn, Maria, Kia, and Angela representing the GSMM crew) I am so excited about the opportunity to meet some of my other favorite bloggers in real life! The Disney Sisters did a wonderful job of compiling a list of the lovely people that they met at last year's event, and it has me even more excited about attending this year!

I can plan the small details that are within my control.

Our clothes, our paths at the theme parks, and the extra food and snacks that we will bring with us - all small details that I am busily planning via Pinterest. May cannot come soon enough for me!meet-disney-princess-aurora
