Ever wonder what the best thing about babies is? They don't require a lot of stuff. Just give them a breast, a clean diaper, and a good swaddle and they are happy. There are a few items, however, that make life just a little bit easier for the new mommy. Whether you are planning a registry or simply celebrating a friend's new bundle by attending a baby shower, the following items are all wonderful products that a new mom can truly appreciate.
*Boppy Pillow and Cuddle Pillow: It doesn't matter if mom is in the last stages of pregnancy or has already welcomed baby into the world - she will be able to find a use for both of these pillows. I'm currently lounged on my Boppy pregnancy pillow to type, and often use the Boppy nursing pillow to snuggle with on the couch! Did I mention that my baby is now three years old?!
*Swaddle blankets from aden + anais: Babies like to be swaddled, and mom likes a light blanket to drape over her very tired legs. Why not satisfy both with a soft, muslin swaddle blanket from aden + anais? These blankets are as comfortable as they are beautiful, and oh-so-versatile! Need a burp cloth in a pinch? Check. A nursing cover? Check. A stroller drape? The muslin swaddles from aden + anais have got you covered.
*An organic baby carrier, like the líllébaby EveryWear Baby Carrier Organic: Nothing says "hands-free" like a baby carrier. New (and veteran) moms will be ready to take on the world with baby safely tucked inside a baby carrier.
*Beaba Portions: Mom will be able to get a lot of use from the Beaba Portions set. These little containers are perfect for storing homemade baby food, but what makes them even more awesome is that they are the perfect size for mommy's on-the-go snacks, too. Dishwasher, microwave, and freezer-safe, these containers are as durable and airtight as food containers come.
*And last, but certainly not least important: No gift will ever be as appreciated as a pack of diapers! Babies go through SO many diapers in one day! This can get quite expensive for the new parents, and is certainly a shock to the wallet. My favorite newborn diapers are the Pampers Swaddlers. We used them interchangeably with other diapers that we received at a shower, and the Swaddlers are by far our favorite newborn disposable diapers.
