Danger’s New Home

We recently moved into a new home that is fabulous in so many different ways. First, we have privacy. No more sneaking in sex at my parents' house (Hallelujah!) Second, it is within walking distance to Handsome Husband's job. BUT the best thing of all is that Danger now has her own room again! Gift from Aunt PingPing's Childhood

Having Danger in her own room means: uninterrupted sex, a full night's sleep, and a place to store all of her toys! It also means: sleep weaning, meticulous baby-proofing, and decorating!

From My Toddlerhood

I love all things vintage, so I knew that it was only a matter of time until I dusted off the many boxes of toys, bedding, and furniture from my childhood and passed them on to my child. I am very fortunate that my parents had the space in their home to store my junk. If you would like to decorate your child's room in a vintage-inspired way but do not have many items, don't fret! Many companies offer pieces that are based on vintage themes.

Here are a couple of before pictures of Danger's new room:

You can see that we were really just sticking things in here to get them out of our way.  It is my goal to transform this dull room into a classic nursery by Halloween.

Why Halloween? Well, I am being realistic. It goes against my procrastinating tendencies to promise something sooner, and hey, Halloween is a great time to host a party!

What theme did you use to decorate your nursery? Do you have any decorating tips to share? How can I jazz up her white walls without repainting? I can't wait to hear your suggestions!
